About the product
Aguaplast Plaste para Exteriores is a powdered skimming plaster specifically formulated for exterior walls and facades, with resistance to weathering, rain, and wetting/drying cycles. Unlike standard interior plaster, it incorporates additives that improve its performance against humidity and thermal variations. It provides a fine, hard, and compact finish on cement, mortar, and concrete surfaces, ready for any facade paint, coating, or subsequent treatment. It is mixed with water in a 1:3 ratio, is workable for 2 hours, and hardens to a very strong final finish. 6 kg format.
What jobs and surfaces is it ideal for?
- ✓ Skimming and smoothing exterior facades of cement, mortar, and concrete
- ✓ Filling cracks, fissures, and flaking on exterior walls before painting
- ✓ Regularizing uneven surfaces before applying facade coatings
- ✓ Fine finish prior to plastic facade paint, siloxane, or continuous coatings
- ✓ Repairing bumps, grooves, and damaged areas on facades without complete renovation
Why choose Aguaplast Exteriores
- ✓ Specifically formulated for exteriors — unlike interior plaster, it resists wetting and drying cycles, rain, and thermal variations without cracking or detaching
- ✓ Fine and hard finish — once cured, it provides a compact, hard, and high-quality surface, ready to receive any type of facade paint or coating
- ✓ 2-hour working time — the prepared paste is manageable for 2 hours at 20°C, sufficient for working large sections of facade without rushing
- ✓ Simple mixing with water — 1 part water to 3 parts powder; mix until a smooth and consistent paste is obtained, ready to apply with a trowel or spatula
- ✓ High on-site performance — the 6 kg format covers large facade surfaces in a single purchase, offering a good quantity/price ratio for medium-sized projects
Compatible substrates
How to prepare and apply — in 4 steps
- Prepare the substrate: it must be clean, sound, dry, and free of dust, grease, and waxes. Remove poorly adhered paints. On very absorbent substrates, apply Fixacryl or another penetrating primer before plastering. Protect metallic parts with an anti-corrosion primer such as Todo Terreno.
- Prepare the paste: add 1 part water to 3 parts powder and mix until a smooth and consistent paste is obtained. Work the mixture within the 2-hour working time — do not re-mix once setting has begun.
- Apply by moistening the substrate: lightly moisten the substrate before application, especially in summer or on very absorbent substrates. Apply with a smooth trowel or stainless steel spatula in uniform layers.
- Clean and cure: clean tools with water immediately after use. Allow to dry completely before painting or applying the final finish.
Do not apply over plaster or old, non-adhering paints. Do not apply at temperatures below +5°C. Do not apply on walls with permanent dampness.
