About the product
Seal and glue with the same cartridge, and it's paintable too
Pattex SP 101 is an adhesive elastic sealant based on Henkel's Flextec technology, which cures with atmospheric moisture. It is not a silicone: it is a high-performance polymer that seals and glues at the same time, adheres to practically any substrate without primer, and, being silicone-free, can be painted once dry. Available in gray, brown, and black so that the bead matches the substrate without needing to be painted.
HIGH MODULUS, SHORE A 50: It is the most rigid and resistant of the SP 101 family. Ideal when the bond needs to withstand load. For joints with a lot of movement (± 25%), use Instant Tack; this one works up to ± 12.5%.
Why choose SP 101
- ✓ Paintable: silicone-free, can be painted once dry (test beforehand). Conventional silicones cannot.
- ✓ Three factory colors: gray, brown, and black, to integrate the joint without repainting.
- ✓ Multi-substrate adhesion without primer: glass, ceramic, steel, aluminum, marble, concrete, wood, rigid PVC, and more.
- ✓ Applicable wet and vertically: does not sag, so it works for walls and ceilings without the bead falling off.
- ✓ No shrinkage and elastic recovery > 80%: the joint does not shrink or sink when curing.
- ✓ Free of hazardous substances: no isocyanates, solvents, PVC, halogens, or heavy metals. Mild odor.
- ✓ High mold protection and excellent resistance to solar radiation, without cracking.

On which materials it adheres
Glass, ceramic, galvanized steel, stainless steel, lacquered and anodized aluminum, iron, painted metals, marble, tile, brick, concrete, polyester-fiberglass, chipboard, MDF, wood, melamine, rigid PVC, and polycarbonate.
Does not adhere to PE, PP, or PTFE (Teflon®). Other substrates should be tested beforehand.
Where it is used
Sealing: roofs, tiles, skylights, gutters, decking, carpentry, windows, sanitaryware, and walkable joints with movement up to ± 12.5%.
Elastic bonding: interior and exterior panels, plates, cladding, tiles, baseboards, skirting boards, frames, sinks, ventilation and air conditioning ducts, prefabricated elements, and construction materials.
How to apply
- Clean surfaces: they must be free of dust, grease, and dirt. No pre-treatment is required.
- Cut the nozzle to the size of the bead and apply with a standard manual or pneumatic gun.
- Smooth with soapy water before skin forms (you have 20-40 minutes).
- When finished, cover the cartridge nozzle with plastic film to preserve it. Clean tools with solvent before it polymerizes.
