About the product
Weld metal without a blowtorch, without sparks, and without disassembling the part
Pattex Nural 21 is a two-component (resin + hardener) cold repair weld specifically formulated to bond and repair metals. It is mixed by hand, applied like a putty, and hardens by chemical reaction: no heat, no flame, and no risk in areas where welding is not possible. Ideal for sealing cracks and leaks in pipes, tanks, and metal parts with a final strength of 160 kg/cm².
AMPLE WORKING TIME: You have 40 minutes to mix and apply, and up to 3 hours of handling time. If you need a quick repair, your product is Nural 27 (sets in 5 minutes).
Why choose Nural 21
- ✓ Real weld strength: 160 kg/cm² in tensile shear on steel (EN 1465, 24 h at 23 °C).
- ✓ Machinable like metal: once cured, it can be sanded, polished, drilled, machined, and painted.
- ✓ Withstands from -30 °C to +150 °C and resists water, oil, common solvents, diluted acids, and alkalis.
- ✓ Electrical insulator: dielectric strength of 10.5 kV/mm, suitable for repairs near electrical installations.
- ✓ No shrinkage: no solvents and no volume alteration upon hardening, the joint does not crack.

On what materials does it adhere
Metals: iron, steel, stainless steel, chrome-plated steel, nickel-plated steel, aluminum, copper, brass, tin, and lead.
Other surfaces: glass, crystal, fiberglass, plastics, wood, marble, and cement.
How to apply
- Sand and degrease both surfaces. Adhesion depends almost entirely on this step.
- Cut equal parts of resin and hardener and knead until a uniform, streak-free gray color is obtained.
- Apply by pressing firmly on the area to be repaired and shape before it starts to thicken.
- Allow to cure for 12 hours before subjecting the part to stress. After that, you can sand, drill, or paint.
Note: mixing too much at once accelerates the reaction and reduces the available working time.
Which of the Nural range do you need?
Nural 27 — same metal weld but fast: sets in 5 minutes.
Nural 22 — repair cement that hardens even when submerged in water.
Nural 36 — putty stick for construction and conduits, adheres to damp surfaces.
Nural 92 — for plastics (PVC, ABS, methacrylate), transparent.
