About the product
Thick-coat, non-asphaltic, waterproof elastic coating, specially formulated with the most advanced technology to prevent water infiltration from the outside, with excellent weather resistance.
100% polyurethane. With anti-mold effect (on the paint).
PROPERTIES- Total waterproofing.
- Great elasticity to withstand expansion and contraction of the substrate.
- Water vapor permeable.
- Resistant to substrate alkalinity.
- Good outdoor durability.
- Good adhesion (diluted).
- Good coverage.
- Easy application.
- Foot trafficable.
- Does not yellow.
- Practically odorless.
- Very resistant to wet scrubbing.
- Excellent micronization, allowing its application with air or airless equipment.
- Does not propagate flame.
For waterproofing roofs, terraces, party walls and, in general, on any exterior surface where water penetration is to be prevented. It can be applied on all types of properly prepared normal exterior masonry surfaces.

SURFACE PREPARATION New unpainted surfaces. For cement mortars and concrete, wait 4 weeks until fully cured, clean off any efflorescence and release agents, remove dust and loose parts, fill cracks, etc., and apply Blatefix. For best results, prime with our Blatepox WD Antipolvo (water-based epoxy primer) or Blatepox Primer Suelos (solvent-based epoxy primer).
Previously painted surfaces. If old paints are in poor condition or poorly adhered, they should be completely removed with a pressure water jet, allowed to dry, and then Blatefix applied. If paints are in good condition and glossy, they should be matted to open the pore and check paint adhesion. For best results, prime with our Blatepox WD Antipolvo (water-based epoxy primer) or Blatepox Primer Suelos (solvent-based epoxy primer).
Surfaces with mold and algae: (black and green stains).Remove them by vigorously scrubbing the stains with a brush, using strong water diluted with water for cleaning. Check slopes to avoid water stagnation. If there are cracks, gaps, etc., on the surface, they should be filled beforehand and allowed to dry. The moisture content of the surface to be coated must be checked. If the surface to be coated has moisture problems due to leaks, or a moisture content higher than 4%, the product should not be applied. The water-based polyurethane membrane is not suitable for waterproofing facades or vertical walls. Once the surface is in good condition, apply a coat of our Blatefix on cementitious substrates and Blatepox Primer Antioxidante on metal substrates to seal the substrate and increase the adhesion of the water-based polyurethane membrane. Apply on ceramic substrates
Blatepox Primer Suelos or Blatepox WD Antipolvo. Once Blatepox Primer Antioxidante or Blatepox Primer Suelos has been applied, it must be covered with the water-based polyurethane membrane between 12 and 24 hours maximum.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USEOn very absorbent surfaces, dilute the first coat with 50% potable water, then apply subsequent coats of the undiluted product in a crisscross pattern. If the substrate has specific problems such as cracks, lack of adhesion, etc., apply a first coat and, while still tacky, place a fiberglass mesh before continuing to apply successive coats. It can be applied with a brush, roller, or airless spray gun.
Dilution: brush and roller 0-5% spray gun 5-15% potable water.
RECOMMENDATIONSDo not paint in rainy weather or with temperatures below 5ºC or strong winds. Do not apply the product on surfaces exposed to strong sun. The temperature during application and curing should be between 5 and 35ºC.
Stir the contents of the container until perfectly homogeneous. Avoid exposing containers to both high and low temperatures. For good product preservation, we recommend applying a maintenance coat approximately 5 years after its initial application.
