HEMPEL'S NON-SLIP DECK COATING 56251 is a quick-drying semi-gloss acrylic topcoat with fine aggregate for a non-slip finish. Durable and with good resistance to sunlight, saltwater, and oil. Quick-drying acrylic paint containing a non-slip aggregate. Physically drying. It has good brushability and is resistant to sunlight, saltwater, and mineral oil spills.

As an intermediate and finish coat in non-slip systems on interior or exterior surfaces above the waterline. Suitable for steel and wood. Ideal for fiberglass, wood, and steel. Surface preparation:
Preparation: Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from grease. Clean the surface and remove any oil and grease with a suitable detergent and sand with dry sandpaper. Carefully remove dust with fresh water. It is recommended to apply a suitable wood treatment to new wood before coating. Previously treated surface: Sand, clean, and dry the surface. Primer: Prime with the specified HEMPEL'S PRIMER product. Untreated surface: Fiberglass: Sand and remove all dust. New wood: Sand and remove all dust. Soak the clean and dry surface with a suitable wood treatment and allow it to dry. Steel: Remove salt and other contaminants with high-pressure fresh water. Remove rust and loose material by abrasive blasting or mechanical cleaning. Remove debris.Product application:
Method: Apply 2 or 3 coats of the product. Add thinner to aid application, if necessary: max. 5%.. If using a two-component HEMPEL primer, it is recommended to vigorously sand the surface for optimal adhesion before product application.Application conditions:
The surface must be completely clean and dry at the time of application and the temperature must be above the dew point to avoid condensation. The water content of the wood should not exceed: 16%.
