WHAT IS PAINT STRIPPER?
When we are going to restore furniture or paint on a surface that has already been painted, it is necessary to clean and smooth it. To do this, we must sand the entire support or apply a treatment such as a paint stripper.
A paint stripper is a product indicated for removing layers of varnishes, paint, enamel, rust, glue… from any surface, whether wood, metal, cement, glass or tile. Its use is especially indicated when we want to remove all the paint from supports where sanding alone is not enough.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Thanks to DOSMAR's secret formulation, we have achieved a product with a professional finish. This product is composed of two types of solvents; one that acts on the most superficial layers and another on the deepest ones.
HOW IS IT APPLIED?
To obtain the expected result, follow these steps:
1. Apply a generous and uniform layer of the product with a brush. To facilitate application and improve stripping, sand the coating to be stripped, being careful not to damage the substrate.
2. Let it act on the paint for the necessary time to soften it (3 minutes).
3. After this time, which will depend on the nature of the paint we wish to remove, it must be removed with a spatula, scraper, wire brush or other suitable instrument. For very hard or thick paint layers, it may be necessary to apply a second or third coat of paint remover.
4. Before repainting surfaces that have been treated with paint remover, it is necessary to clean them with water, turpentine or alcohol, interchangeably, to achieve perfect adhesion of the new paint.
