About the product
The traditional contact adhesive, and the most resistant
Pattex Contacto Universal is the classic in the range and remains the benchmark for a technical reason: it withstands from -40 °C to +110 °C and is water resistant, features that no other contact adhesive in the family matches. It spreads easily, glues quickly, and solves difficult bonds: mixed surfaces, veneers, edges, and complex corners that conventional glue cannot reach.
HOW CONTACT ADHESIVE WORKS: apply to both surfaces, let it evaporate for 10-15 minutes until it's dry to the touch, and then join them by pressing firmly. If you join the pieces too soon, it won't stick. And once in contact, it cannot be repositioned.
Why choose Contacto Universal
- ✓ Huge temperature range: from -40 °C to +110 °C, suitable for areas with extreme heat or cold.
- ✓ Water resistant, useful for waterproofing joints in solid wood, plywood, and countertops.
- ✓ High shear strength: extra-strong bonds from the moment of contact.
- ✓ Ideal for laminates and edges: the classic use where contact adhesive has no substitute.
- ✓ Bonds flexible materials such as rubber, cork, leather, foam, and textiles.

How to apply
- Clean and dry both surfaces. They should fit together well.
- Apply a thin layer to both sides, spreading with a spatula. More glue does not mean more grip.
- Wait 10-15 minutes. Touch with your finger: when it's dry to the touch, it's ready.
- Join the pieces and press firmly and evenly. A roller, a bottle, or a paint roller can be used as a press.
