About the product
Beissier Stone Consolidator is a high-penetration consolidating and waterproofing treatment formulated to strengthen, harden, and stabilize porous and deteriorated stone surfaces — limestone, sandstone, artificial stone, and cement-lime renders that have lost cohesion due to binder degradation. Its colorless formula penetrates up to 10 cm deep, consolidating the internal structure of the material without altering its original appearance or obstructing breathability. Essential for the restoration and rehabilitation of natural stone facades, monuments, and historic buildings. For interior and exterior use. 5 L format.
What surfaces and projects is it ideal for?
- ✓ Deteriorated limestone and calcarenite with loss of surface cohesion or disintegration
- ✓ Sandstone and porous stone on facades and architectural elements exposed to the weather
- ✓ Artificial stone created with BME 4508 A/G Anti-humidity Restoration Mortar
- ✓ Cement-lime renders degraded by acid rain and atmospheric pollution
- ✓ Pre-consolidation before applying coatings, paints, or treatments on porous stone
- ✓ Restoration of monuments, churches, historic buildings, and natural stone facades
Why choose Beissier Stone Consolidator
- ✓ Penetration up to 10 cm deep — unlike surface consolidators, it penetrates deep into the porous structure of the material, consolidating from within rather than just hardening the outer layer; the effect is long-lasting and does not peel off
- ✓ Colorless — preserves the original appearance of the substrate — does not alter the color, texture, or finish of the stone or render; after treatment, the surface has exactly the same visual appearance as before, only consolidated
- ✓ Breathable — permeable to water vapor and CO₂ — does not seal the surface, allowing breathability; the treated stone or render continues to breathe normally, preventing internal moisture accumulation that could cause new damage
- ✓ Waterproof to rainwater — despite being breathable, it repels rainwater, which is the main cause of continued degradation of porous stone outdoors
- ✓ Solution for acid rain degradation — cement-lime renders lose cohesion when acid rain dissolves carbonate binders; the Consolidator restores this lost cohesion without the need to chip away and redo
- ✓ Ready to use — easy application — ready-to-use product applied directly with a brush, roller, or low-pressure spray gun; the substrate progressively absorbs it according to its porosity
Compatible substrates
How to apply — in 4 steps
- Prepare the substrate: clean the surface, removing dust, dirt, biological deposits (moss, lichen, algae), and completely disintegrated parts. The surface must be clean, though it can be slightly damp — humidity facilitates penetration.
- Apply the first coat: apply the consolidator directly with a soft-bristle brush, roller, or low-pressure spray gun, thoroughly saturating the surface and allowing the material to absorb the product. Apply generously — the substrate should be well saturated.
- Apply additional coats as absorbed: if the substrate is very porous and absorbs the first coat quickly, apply a second coat (and a third if necessary) until the surface stops absorbing. Each coat should be applied before the previous one dries to encourage maximum penetration.
- Allow to cure: the consolidator needs time to fully cure and develop its hardening effect. Do not apply coatings on top until the consolidator has cured — consult the product's technical data sheet for curing times.
Do not apply on surfaces with old paints that prevent penetrant absorption. Protect adjacent surfaces (glass, metals, vegetation) from the product during application.

Limitations
Do not apply on surfaces with old paints, varnishes, or previous treatments that prevent the consolidator from penetrating. Do not apply on completely disintegrated stone without consistency — in that case, first remove the loose material. Protect glass, metals, and plants during application.
