About the product
Aguaplast Plastic Putty is Beissier's ready-to-use putty formulated specifically for filling and smoothing wood before enameling or lacquering. Its composition of acrylic copolymers and mineral fillers provides an extra-fine, very white, and low-absorption finish, reducing the absorption of subsequent lacquer or enamel. It has a maximum thickness of 1 mm per coat, a density of 1.50 g/cc, and dries in 1–2 hours. Available in a 200ml jar.
What projects and surfaces is it ideal for?
- ✓ Filling wood, MDF, and paneling before lacquering or enameling in white
- ✓ Smoothing wood surfaces to achieve a pore-free lacquered finish
- ✓ Surface repairs on furniture, frames, and carpentry before painting
- ✓ Regularizing absorption for high-gloss finishes
- ✓ Compatible with plaster, drywall, cement, and plastic paints
Why choose Aguaplast Plastic Putty
- ✓ Very white color — ideal for white lacquers and enamels — its extreme whiteness ensures it does not affect the tone of the white enamel or lacquer applied on top; no yellowing or tonal differences
- ✓ Low absorption — eliminates re-absorption — the putty seals the pores of the wood or MDF, preventing the first coat of enamel from being absorbed unevenly, which can result in a matte appearance in some areas and glossy in others
- ✓ Extra fine finish — particle size <200 µm — the very fine particle size leaves a perfectly smooth surface after sanding with 220 or 320 grit sandpaper, ideal for high-gloss and lacquered finishes
- ✓ Very easy to sand — despite its hardness, the putty sands well; ideal for fine finishing work in wood carpentry
- ✓ High flexibility — accommodates small movements of the wood without cracking; does not detach in joint areas between pieces or in corners
How to apply — in 3 steps
- Prepare the surface: clean, sound, and dry. On very absorbent surfaces, prime with Fixacryl. Protect metal parts with Todo Terreno.
- Apply with a smooth trowel or spatula in layers of maximum 1 mm. For deep defects, apply in two or more coats, allowing to dry between them.
- Sand with 220–320 grit once dry (1–2 hours). Apply enamel or lacquer over it.
